What is Vertigo?

Vertigo is a symptom, rather than a condition itself. It’s the sensation that you, or the environment around you, is moving or spinning. This feeling may be barely noticeable, or it may be so severe that you find it difficult to keep your balance and do everyday tasks.

Causes of Vertigo

Vertigo is often caused by an inner ear problem.

Symptoms of Vertigo

Vertigo is often triggered by a change in the position of your head.

People with vertigo typically describe it as feeling like they are:

  • Spinning
  • Tilting
  • Swaying
  • Unbalanced
  • Pulled to one direction

Treatment of Vertigo

Chiropractic has proven incredibly effective in reducing problems in the inner ear, including hearing concerns, ear infections, and yes—vertigo. Vertigo is connected to fluid buildup in the inner ear, and the area in which the buildup occurs is connected via nerves to your upper cervical vertebrae.
